#MISSIONSANJUAN

The Mission San Juan experience is something so unexplainably unmatched. Getting to fully serve as the hands and feet of the Lord and completely surrender to him over the course of the week is a life altering experience like none other, and I’m both blessed and honored to be a returning missionary of Mission San Juan!!!

About Mission
Mission (Mission San Juan Texas) is a 501©(3) nonprofit corporation whose goal is to empower high school teens, young adults, and adult leaders to serve low-income families by providing free necessary home repairs and enriching educational experiences for their children in South Texas. Mission is powered exclusively by volunteers including its board members, leadership team members, and ministry leaders.
Service, Faith, Fellowship
At Mission, we are dedicate to serving the poor and marginalized in the world, reflecting the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. Testimonials
The Mission experience in the words of our Missionaries.

Marisa, Teen Missionary
God truly works in many beautiful ways at mission. One of these is the community. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and high-energy that the sleepless nights don’t even matter. Everyone is there to serve the Lord's people and it truly shows on the smiles that are on everyone’s faces. It’s not easy work, but it’s so worth it.

David, Teen Missionary
Mission for me is a great opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, and serve others all while glorifying God. It’s one of the most fulfilling weeks of my year and I look forward to going every summer. If you get the chance I encourage you to go at least once. I promise it’ll be an experience you’ll carry with you for the rest of your life.

John, Adult Missionary
Mission was a truly transformative week where my son, wife and I encountered God in a new way. The physical challenge of working on homes, talking with people and connecting with our community, helped us empty ourselves in order to receive God’s graces. The daunting work allowed us to grow in trust that God always helps us look beyond ourselves to grow in faith and relationship with him and others.
A Bright Future
Mission San Juan is currently experiencing a period of tremendous growth! Here are just a few of the goals we've set for 2026 and beyond!

200 Missionaries
Mission 2026 will enlist the hearts, minds, and hard work of 200 teen and adult missionaries! That's our biggest Mission ever!

10 Home Repair Worksites
This year, missionaries will complete a wide variety of home repairs, cleanup projects, and more at 10 different worksites.

125 VBS Families Served
In 2026 Mission will aim to serve over 125 VBS families in the wonderful communities of the Diocese of Brownsville, Texas.

$20K in Fundraising
Our ambitions are a community effort as we seek to fundraise $20k for home repairs and other service needs.

2 Independent VBS Sites
Missionaries will lead 2 VBS sites at Catholic Parishes in the Diocese of Brownsville - a first for Mission!

To Jesus Through Mary
As always, our ultimate goal is to grow closer to Jesus. Through the Intercession of Mary, may we learn to love like Him.
Missional Growth
Mission San Juan is proud and grateful to welcome two new partner parishes in 2026 - St. Mary's, Temple, TX and St. Helen, Georgetown. TX! We can't wait to serve together!
